The Cruise

Ready for cruisin'!

The ship

A view from afar of our Norwegian Sky!

These crazy seagulls made me feel like I was in the movie The Birds! They definitely knew a cruise ship was well stocked with food!

A view of Miami as we were leaving!

This is the boat we took on our tour. Yikes! We had to evacuate the upper deck!

Atlantis Resort....BEAUTIFUL!

A rare sighting of their octopus! I guess he's usually pretty shy and not many get to see him.

Hanging out at Great Stirrup Cay...Norwegian's private island.

A shot of the Cay from the ship.

A shot of Nassau.

The week of Feb. 9, Jim and I were given the opportunity via his company to go on a cruise. This is the second one we've gotten to do since being with this company, and we've enjoyed every minute of it! It was a pretty crazy time, though. The weekend before, we drove the kids up to MN to stay with Gpa and Gma Moore for the week. What a blessing it was to have them available to help out! Love you guys! We cruised on the Norwegian Sky and went to the Bahamas Monday through Friday of that week. We enjoyed the weather being in the 70's for the week. Our stops included activities such as a glass bottom boat 3 hr. tour, a visit to Atlantis Resort, and just some fun in the sun at the beach and some shopping. I could have done without the boat tour. The water was WAY too rough and I was ready to turn around after the first ten minutes! Thankfully, I wasn't one of the five that threw up on the tour! The Altantis Resort was unbelievable! If you ever have the chance to go see it, do it. Don't plan on staying in the bridge suite, though, because it's booked for 5 years out!...although my guess is that you probably won't want to pay the 25,000 dollar a night price either!! We did enjoy the tour of the facility, though, and saw some pretty neat marine life. We flew back to MN on Friday, the same day as our Liam's 1st birthday. The hard part was that we didn't get there until almost his bedtime too. Oh well, at least I got to see him for part of the day. We did a birthday breakfast for him the next day with my family before hitting the road back to IN. I feel bad jipping him a little bit on his first birthday, but I guess he doesn't know any better!! The kids enjoyed their time with family. It was definitely an adjustment for me to be away from my kids. The was the first time I had every spent the night away from Liam, and only the third time from Kallie. It's amazing how you get used to having them be a part of your nightly routine. I felt like I kept forgetting to do something! It was a crazy week, but a fun one.
